Six-Lune Verse

April 1:  First day of NaPoWriMo.  The prompt is to write a Lune, or a poem made up of several Lunes.  Apparently a lune is a three-line poem made of five-three-five syllables or five-three-five words.  Here is my response:

On April Fool’s Day,

Writer’s Block

Knocks my Muse out cold.

“That’s a dirty trick,”

I mutter,

“Leave my Muse alone!”

Block says, “Come now, Pam,

You can write

Lunes with your eyes closed,

“Both hands tied behind

And tapping

Keyboard with your nose.”

I guess Block is right

That sometimes

Challenge fosters flow,

And here’s a feeble

First attempt

For NaPoWriMo.
