Becoming a Regular in FRESH INK

Since I became a member of the Inland Empire California Writers Club, I have been pleased to have several pieces published in the chapter’s newsletter called FRESH INK.  Indeed, such publication does not “count” to earn me the label, “published writer,” but it is encouraging to have the editor choose my pieces.  On this blog, you can read all of my FRESH INK  pieces.   Go to the essay page to read “Keep It Real,” the essay that won third prize in the chapter’s “Shadow” Writing Contest.  In the poems page you can read “The Ballad of Roaring Camp,”  written for the October 2009 issue of FRESH INK,  which was dedicated to California writers.  Also on the poems page is “School Today (a protest song, with apologies to Pete Seeger),”  recently printed in the January 2010  issue of  FRESH INK.  I hope you enjoy reading them, and thanks for stopping by!
